The Fireflies

Once I was in woods,
Travelling towards a way to home;
It was a night, so dark,
and I was so blind to see.

I was walking through greenery,
I wish it was a greenery, cause I couldn't see;
still I was walking ,
and crushing the twigs beneath.

Now it was dark and darker,
darker than the night;
The moon lost his shine,
behind the curtain of clouds.

Suddenly it was quite and quieter,
The owls were quite too;
Suddenly I saw red eyes in every nook and cranny,
watching over me.

Now there was many eyes,
covering all the skies;
and they started blinking and blinking,
and started flying and flying.

Now they came close and closer,
and they were getting bright and brighter;
I knew that these weren't eyes,
These were little fireflies.

Now there was light again,
like it was from stars;
And I started walking and walking ;
towards the way to home.

I wish to reach as early as I could,
but the way was to long through dark woods;
The wind started whistling slowly,
like the wolves were howling.

I started feeling scary,
wishing for fairy to show;
the way to my homeland,
and I was walking and walking again.

I saw a light and many lights,
came closer and closer again;
Is it my village?
Is it my home?

Now the fireflies were gone too,
Like I lost them;
but I reached my homeland,
My Sweet Home.
